BREC Dressage’s Interagro Lusitanos Mark Multiple Victories
Region 3 Championships & Ibericon 2026
Ocala, FL (October 25, 2026) – BREC Dressage‘s Tyra Vernon expanded her winning resume with Lavagante Interagro and Hadrian Interagro, taking both to the pinnacle of their respective levels at the Region 3 Championships in Atlanta, followed by a Small Tour Championship win at the 2026 Ibericon USA event at WEC Ocala. Both horses were bred by Interagro Lusitanos of Brazil, and imported to the United States as part of their expanding export legacy based on developing modern Lusitano sport horses for FEI competition.
The USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships in Atlanta, Georgia welcomed qualified horse and rider combinations from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee to the Georgia Horse Park on October 4-5, 2026. Vying for the Championship titles and a chance to compete at this year’s Dressage Finals, Vernon rode Hadrian Interagro, a 2011 grey gelding by Baldor Interagro and out of Latina (JNU), to the Intermediare I Open Championship against a competitive field. Hadrian’s natural talent for collection, amazing rideability, and spectacular movement are typical of the Interagro lineages, and prompted Vernon to import him as a young horse and train him through to the upper levels of dressage. Also at the Region 3 Championships, another rising FEI talent, Lavagante Interagro, stepped out onto the Championship stage for the first time since being imported in 2024. His Prix St. Georges ride earned them 4th place in the Open Division. Both horses qualified for the USDF Dressage Finals, set for October 29 – November 1st, 2026 at Wilmington, Ohio’s World Equestrian Center.
Building on their top 4 finish at Regional Championships, Lavagante Interagro and Vernon returned to the show ring shortly after for Ibericon 2026, a premier celebration of the Iberian horse in America. Riding again at the World Equestrian Center Ocala, which is just down the road from their home barn, they clinched the Small Tour Championship at the event, with scores through 72.725%. Lavagante’s incredible talent for collection, extension, and uphill power prompted judges in his 4th Level and FEI debuts to comment on his potential for the Grand Prix, with one commenting, “Not quite Glamourdale yet.” Vernon has spent the last few years carefully channeling Lavagante’s talents with correct, classical training to develop a top FEI dressage horse.
“All of these amazing results and shows wouldn’t be possible without the exceptional Lusitanos that I have had the privilege to ride! Thank you Interagro Lusitanos for breeding the best and providing me with several amazing dancing partners.”
