Ocala, FL (September 11, 2026) — BREC Dressage‘s string of Interagro-bred and imported Lusitanos continued their strong 2026 show season with successful and qualifying outings at WEC Dressage in late August and early September. The series of scores all over 70% showcase Interagro’s commitment to producing top FEI prospects known not only for athletic ability, but also for exceptional minds, beauty, and rideability. Across multiple classes and levels, Interagro horses demonstrated the hallmark qualities the breeding and development program is known for: composure and charisma in the arena, willingness to work, and expressive movement paired with trainable, confident temperaments.
Hadrian & Lavagante: Championship Qualifiers with Tyra Vernon
BREC Dressage’s Tyra Vernon piloted Hadrian Interagro and Lavagante Interagro down the centerline at WEC, delivering a weekend of results that underscored both horses’ quality and consistency. After a hiatus from competition, Hadrian (Baldor Interagro x Latina (JNU)) made a notable return, earning two championship qualifying scores with impressive tests of 72% and 74%. The performances reflected the 2011 gelding’s maturity and reliability under pressure, combining presence and precision with the calm, focused mindset that Interagro prioritizes. Hadrian’s spectacular gaits and natural elasticity were accented in his Intermediare I Freestyle set to the classic rock stylings of ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, George Thoroghgood, and Ram Jam for a final score of 72.575%. Hadrian is also a paternal brother via sire Baldor Interagro to Leucon Interagro, who will be competing in the ODESUR Games this week in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with rider Paulina Morales, Leucon is owned by Haras Godiva from Jose Ignacio, Uruguay.
Lavagante Interagro (Viheste (AR) x Bali Comando SN) also turned in a strong showing, scoring 70% in his Intermediare I Freestyle. Also set to classic rock, Lava, as he is known around the barn, delivered a confident, expressive performance that featured The Rolling Stones’ Painted Black for the trot tour and Star Me Up for the canter. Lavagante was imported in the spring of 2025 and quickly qualified for the same year’s Regional Championships at Fourth Level. At the 2025 Region 3 Championships, he and Vernon were named the 4th Level Freestyle Champions and Reserve Champions in both the 3rd and 4th Level Open Divisions. They made their FEI debut in the spring of 2026, and are now set to again compete at Regionals in 2026!
Both Hadrian and Lavagante demonstrated the balance of brilliance and rideability that makes Interagro horses stand out in the ring, and with their qualifying scores secured, Vernon and her team now look ahead to Region 3 Championships in October!
Sorrateiro Interagro’s Promising Debut in the 5-Year-Olds
Interagro’s young horse pipeline was also on display in September with Sorrateiro Interagro (Perdigueiro (MAC) x Incerta Interagro), who made his first outing to the spectacular WEC Ocala. Ridden by Chelsey Miller of BREC Dressage, the gray gelding scored 71+% in the FEI 5-Year-Old division. Imported at the end of March 2026, Sorrateiro represents the quality of Interagro’s upcoming young horse generations and the program’s continued focus on producing modern sport horses with both quality and character. With his qualifying score in the 5-Year-Olds, Vernon will point Sorrateiro at the The IBERICON USA event featuring the Iberian Cup in October at WEC Ocala.
“We have had a fantastic few years with our Interagro boys, and really appreciate all of the time, care, and horsemanship Interagro puts into breeding, producing, and training their horses,” said Vernon. “It gives us great confidence in the importing process, as well as amazing results in the show ring once they are here! We are so excited to continue to develop their horses and for even more success to come.”
